This sudden avoidance is usually driven by two very real fears. First, they dread that you will reach into a pocket and pull out hidden drugs, vapes, or pipes. Second, they are terrified of the smell. Fabrics are highly effective at trapping odors, and an unwashed jacket can easily hold the undeniable, lingering scent of marijuana or chemical solvents.
